ESL Certification to Teach English As a Second Language

Certification is an important step in any industry. Mechanics get certifications to work on cars, aviators get certified to pilot large aircraft, and teachers are often required to get certification before they can be employed to educate their students.

If you are a Native English speaker, the simplest route to official certification is through an online language institution. You will be required to complete a proficiency exam either online or in person, and given your certification upon successful completion.

Domestic and International employers generally seek out applicants to assist with the formal education of a large foreign workforce. With the growing value of a English language abilities, companies can often afford to pay respectable wages to competent and certified ESL teachers.

Babysitting or tutoring jobs are also available for individuals interested in working overseas, who possess ESL skills.
